Background: The Peter C. Alderman Foundation (PCAF) was founded in 2003 by a US family following the death of their son Peter in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in New York City. The family chose to heal through healing others caught in similar circumstances. PCAF currently has 10 Psychotrauma Clinics (four in Uganda), and has trained or conducted workshops for over 1000 doctors and health care workers from post-conflict regions worldwide. This will be PCAF's fourth annual psychotrauma training conference in Africa, the second in Nairobi.
